Board Members

Steve Schumacher

Steve has been with Wells Fargo Advisors or its predecessors managing investments for 28 years. He and his wife Patty have three kids and recently two grandkids. Steve joined our Board in 1996, after a friend asked him to help with a Capital Campaign and has been in every role on the Board during that time. Steve stayed on because he saw firsthand how difficult some kid’s loves were in our community and it would have been difficult knowing this and not helping.
Meredith Anderson
Baker Concrete
Meredith is the Engineering Manager at Baker Concrete and has been on our Board since 2020. Meredith is a dog lover with a law degree who works as an Engineering Manager in concrete construction. Ben Lodahl
United Alloy
Ben is the Director of HR at United Alloy and joined our Board in June 2022. Ben and his wife have two young boys and enjoy hiking, fishing, playing golf and attending as many Badger sporting events as possible. His motivation for joining the Board is driven by understanding that the privileges and opportunities that he (and now his boys) experienced as youngsters are not equal throughout the community. Having the opportunity to help serve an organization that helps to bridge the inequality gap for the youth in our community was a no-brainer!

Chad Pearson
Janesville Police Department
Chad has been a sworn officer working for the Janesville Police department for twenty-five years and is currently the Deputy Chief of Operations. He and his wife Kellie have five children. Chad is not originally from Janesville but immediately recognized it as home after moving here. Janesville is transitioning and changing and Chad wants to be an effective part of the change and give back to a community that has been very gracious and welcoming to him. Chad joined our Board in July 2022 because he felt there is no better way to give back than to help guide and develop the next generations of future leaders.
