Volunteers Make a Difference to Our Club and Our Youth

By volunteering just one hour a week you can make a difference for kids in our community. The Boys & Girls Club of Janesville offers flexible and fun volunteer opportunities to anyone looking to give back. Homework Help – Monday – Friday 4:15 to 4:45 pm

Spend time (30 minutes or more a week) working with elementary school kids to complete homework assignments and practice reading. A caring adult helps take the frustration out of homework, and intervention at a young age can put kids on a path of lifelong academic success.

Snack Program – Monday – Friday 4:00 to 5:00 pm

Many kids do not have access to the healthy food they need outside of school. Help hand out snacks (an hour or more a week) and ensure all of our members get a healthy after-school snack each day.

Arts and Crafts – Monday – Friday 4:45 to 5:30 pm

If you are passionate about the arts and want to help youth with art projects (an hour or more a week), we would love your help. Or, if you have creative talents you would like to tech a small group of kids (20-30), please contact us. Ideally the class would be ongoing weekly or for a month or two.

Stem – Monday – Friday 4:45 to 5:30 pm

If you are passionate about science and technology and want to share your enthusiasm with the next generation, volunteering for our STEM program (an hour or more a week) would be a great fit. The Club is always looking for volunteers with hands-on construction skills they are willing to share such as building birdhouses with our youth. We are looking for caring adults willing to get our kids excited and inspired by leading a program on a weekly basis.

Maintenance and Cleaning – Flexible

Assist with projects around the Club such as fixing broken items, painting, organizing, and building items. We always have a list of minor projects we need help with.
